Sunnyside Gardens Park Tennis Club FAQs

What are the main benefits of a SGP Tennis Club Membership?
Membership allows for lower costs including child membership discounts, greater access to court time, clinics, social events, tournaments, and a tennis ladder. Only members may reserve court time, which guarantees members a court when completing a reservation. Without a membership, you may only take lessons or play as the guest of another SGP tennis member during off-peak hours.

What types of memberships are available?
Visit Tennis tab for membership levels. We have park and non-park memberships for both adults and children. The prime time memberships allow the player to play every day from 8AM to closing. The off-peak memberships allow play only weekdays from 10AM to 5PM.

When do the courts open?
The courts open at the beginning of May and close in late November. The hours are from 8AM to sunset.

What type of courts are they?
Our courts are clay courts and their top surface layer is HarTru clay.

How do members make reservations for court time?
When members join the club and pay their dues, they are enrolled in Skedda, our online reservation system. Each member is entitled to make a reservation of one hour in their own name. A private tennis lesson also counts as a reservation. Members may play for more than one hour providing another member makes the reservation. All reservations start on the hour and end on the hour according to the court clock.

How can we check court availability?
Skedda shows the daily reservation schedule for members. Both members and non-members may check the daily reservation sheet on the park tennis website: Tennis Daily Schedule
