Sneakers Allowed on Clay Tennis Courts
What to Wear
Here are four examples of tennis sneakers that are appropriate for clay courts.
The surface is fairly even with no deep grooves.
The herringbone pattern is common with this type of sneaker.
Sneakers with smooth soles or small circles were common several years ago, and will also be acceptable.
What Not to Wear
Any sneaker with grooves, or with bumps that would mark the courts. Running sneakers will not be allowed.
